The Curious Case of... Man v God

    Can you sue God?

Have you had enough of the Covid-19 talks? Are you sick and tired of putting on the news and hearing about viruses, earthquakes, floods, fires and other (as the common law would call it) Acts of God!

Well, the state senator of Nebraska got so sick and tired of it all that he decided to file a lawsuit against no other than God! Yes, no kidding! Mind you, he filed the lawsuit back in 2007... however, it seems the Defendant has reoffended on a number of occasions since then...

Mr Ernie Chambers (the Nebraska senator) filed a petition for a permanent injunction ordering the Defendant (ie God) to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats.

More specifically, the Defendant (also known by various aliases, titles, names and designations) is present in all places at the same time ("Omnipresent") and is the admitted perpetrator of the deleterious acts complained herein.

The Plaintiff alleges that the Defendant directly and proximately caused, inter alia, fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornados, genocidal wars and the like.

(And today we would add covid-19 outbreak)!

For these reasons, Plaintiff respectfully prays the Court to enter a permanent injunction forbidding Defendant from engaging in the abovementioned horrendous actions.

    What do you think...who won?
