Conversational courses
After grammar, the second most common goal when learning English is achieving fluency in speaking, popularly known as “I need to practice speaking.”
We are advocates of rules, but not the kind of rules that must be memorized by heart and are not applicable in practice. Instead, we support rules—more commonly referred to as tools—that help learners achieve their desired goal.
For this reason, our conversational courses are 80% focused on spoken communication, while the remaining 20% is dedicated to acquiring simple yet highly useful conversational tools that help participants almost imperceptibly learn how to create the impression of a “well-rounded story,” how to develop arguments that sound credible, and how to easily start a conversation and encourage the other person to engage in discussion.
Alongside the essential acquisition of new, practical, and relevant vocabulary, these courses aim to encourage participants not only to use newly learned knowledge and terminology, but also to bring out their passive knowledge—knowledge they already possess but are not even aware of.
By becoming aware of how we communicate, we can not only enrich our language skills but also objectively assess the communication abilities of both ourselves and our interlocutors.
Unlike Logical English Grammar, which introduces you to a way of thinking in an “English manner,” the conversational course teaches you a skill applicable in all languages.
Ultimately, communication is universal and aims for the same impression, regardless of the language in which it is conducted.
